Nightly Update, Camp NaNoWriMo Day 7

So many thoughts running through my mind today and tonight. So many ideas trying to squeeze their way into the novel. Can I fit them all in there? Nope. Got enough ideas to write a series of books (I hope) and I’m going to have to find a way to narrow the focus for this one. Write, write, write, cut, cut, cut. That’s the way it goes. But this is the rough draft phase (and I do mean ROUGH) so it’s not time to cut yet. Oh, but the temptation is so strong! To cut it all! ;)

Sometimes I wonder why I started this mess. I wonder why I ever thought I could write. Then someone tells me how something I wrote effected them and then I remember why I started this and I open up Scrivener and begin again.

But not tonight! It’s late, the dogs are all snoring, my feet and ankles are swollen from all the steroids I’m on (dang sarcoidosis), and before I get any further into full whining mode, I’m going to bed and get some sleep. The storm kept one of my dogs awake last night and she kept me awake, too. Can’t keep my eyes open any longer!

Thanks for stopping by. Please keep me in your prayers and know that I keep all visitors and readers and Twitter friends (and even those who aren’t friends!) in my prayers and remember you all at Mass. Peace be with you and God bless you! :)

Word count goal for the month: 50K. Nightly: 1,667. Tonight: Over 2K. Total: Over 22k. Woohoo! Awright! (Passes out.)

About Disciple

I am a pro-life activist, blogger, writer, poet, singer songwriter, musician, photographer, nerd, bookworm and Mac fan. I have two dogs, one of whom is well-travelled. (I had three for a while after adopting a senior dog, but he has now passed away, and the pack is back to two girl dogs. One was born after, the days of mammoth road trips.) And the most important thing is: I was received into Holy Mother Church in 1996 and, through the grace of God, I love Christ and His Church more with every passing day. Thanks be to God!
