First Lumen Fidei, Encyclical by Pope Francis

Lumen Fidei the first encyclical by Pope Francis (completing the one begun by his predecessor), is available online now. On my phone I see it as a readable webpage sans the absurd parchment background that kept me away from the Vatican site for many years. Also available are options to print and to download a PDF file. Finally! Welcome to the 20th century, Vatican webmaster! Yes, I know the rest of us have been in the 21st century for quite some years. ;)

About Disciple

I am a pro-life blogger, writer, poet, songwriter, bad musician, photographer, bookworm and Mac fan (and that's fan, nothing more). I was received into Holy Mother Church in 1996 and, through the grace of God, I love Christ and His Church more with every passing day. I have one dog now that my oldest dog passed away. She left us in May 2018, two months shy of her fifteenth birthday. Lucy (a ten year old mini Dachshund) and I miss her deeply.

whats wrong with the ‘parchment’ background used at i always liked it!

    • Disciple says:

The parchment background would have been better had it been much lighter. The parchment did not provide enough contrast with the brown font for those of us who are older. Web usability is something many webmasters could learn more about. For readability nothing beats a white or a slightly off-white background & a dark dark font.

How do I join the doctrine course

    • Disciple says:

If you’re talking about the spiritual theology course (a different post on which you also asked this question), then you would need to buy the course. Not from me. Use the links in the post. God bless you. :)
