Did you know that there is a connection between the Divine Mercy Devotion and abortion?

Divine Mercy

Don’t feel bad if you didn’t know about it. I’ve been sharing this message with people since the fall of 2009 when I first read about it and no one I’ve talked to has ever heard of it before I told them. There is an explicit link between the message given to Saint Faustina, the Devotion to the Divine Mercy, and the sin of abortion. I had read the Diary, Divine Mercy in my Soul, and I didn’t remember seeing it. But it’s there. And there is a special Apostolic Blessing from Pope John Paul II for those who pray the Chaplet to end abortion, and also five special intentions to be used. Did you know any of that?

See the Divine Mercy and Abortion page, added tonight, March 1 2012. And, please, share this with your friends, family and priests! All Catholics should know this!

About Disciple

I am a pro-life activist, blogger, writer, poet, singer songwriter, musician, photographer, nerd, bookworm and Mac fan. I have two dogs, one of whom is well-travelled. (I had three for a while after adopting a senior dog, but he has now passed away, and the pack is back to two girl dogs. One was born after, the days of mammoth road trips.) And the most important thing is: I was received into Holy Mother Church in 1996 and, through the grace of God, I love Christ and His Church more with every passing day. Thanks be to God!

    Hey Disciple,
Thanks for this. When I read it, I remember reading this in her Diary. Ever since I chose her as my Saint, or she chose me for her “hopeless cause:>) I have prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy everyday for abortion to stop. I did not know however all of this regarding Pope John Paul II. Thanks for sharing. God Bless, SR

Well, you are the first person I’ve ever talked to who actually remembered that it was in the Diary! I’d been praying the Chaplet to end abortion but I didn’t know the rest of it either. I’m glad I could share something so important with you. And with others. I’ve shared it with several people down at 40 Days for Life this week and last week, too.

Now that I think about it, I may need to order more prayer cards soon, I’ve given most of mine away.

Thanks for reading and commenting, SR. I’m way behind on my reading, and writing, and blogging, and on my Ignatian retreat. But I’m keeping the Lenten fast, attending Daily Mass, getting to 40 Days for Life every day except last Sunday, so I’ll just have to get caught up on the rest of it when I can. I’m not ignoring your blog, I’m just pooped! I promise to read and comment more soon! I’m looking forward to discovering more about your consecration to Jesus through Mary. :)

Peace be with you and God bless! :)

Do not worry about “my blog” you are into far more important things right now. I understand “pooped” very well. I remembered the part in the Diary because I read it every Lent:>) Take care and I hope you find what you are seeking on the Ignatian retreat. I have found so much during my consecration. God Bless, SR
