Nightly Update, Camp NaNoWriMo Day 13

My parish ran out of palms for evening Mass so I didn’t have to watch everybody make these.

Just to change things up a bit, I took my Magnificat with me to Mass this evening instead of the regular Divine Office. (I usually get to Mass at least 30 minutes early to pray and prepare.) And I’m glad I did because I read something in there that helped me visualize something for the novel. I took it as a sign that that was the direction I should take in the story, that I should focus on that for a while. Some direction. I’ll take it! ;) And, though I forgot to take my phone with me this evening so I couldn’t use any of my nifty note-taking or writing apps, I did manage somehow to remember the ideas I had when I got home and finally sat down to write. Amazing. :)

Thank you for reading and may God richly bless you now and forever. I pray for all visitors to the blog and all the people I’ve met through Twitter, too, as well as remember all of y’all at Mass. Just so’s you know. (Prayers for yours truly are most appreciated, too.) Peace! :)

Word count goal for the month: 50K. Nightly: 1,667. Tonight: Over 2K. Total: Almost 35K. Woohoo!

About Disciple

I am a pro-life activist, blogger, writer, poet, singer songwriter, musician, photographer, nerd, bookworm and Mac fan. I have three dogs, one of whom is well-travelled. (One was born after, and another joined the pack after, the days of mammoth road trips.) And the most important thing is: I was received into Holy Mother Church in 1996 and, through the grace of God, I love Christ and His Church more with every passing day. Thanks be to God!

I have learned when attending mass that the mind/heart try to spend time with The Lord but the brain often takes it own trips and ideas come flying.

I have written notes on church bulletin,my Sunday missal magnificat and often the little notebook I carry

I’ve rummaged through pockets and purse to find anything–an old receipt, a business card–to write on. I had used all those on previous occasions and this time was forced to rely on memory. (I blame it on the tiny purse I’ve been using. With my old big bag I’d never run out of scraps of paper and I’d have room for a notebook too. If I could remember to take my phone with me, I have a bunch of writing and note apps on it that I could use.) Writing on my Magnificat–can’t bring myself to do that! Silly of me, huh?
