After having several conversations (that is a charitable word) online wherein I and my faith and Church were rather viciously attacked, I’ve decided to write a series of posts) to dispel some commonly held myths, distortions and outright lies about Christianity, Catholicism and the Catholic Church. I’m working on this project tonight; but, as I’ve been under the weather for days now (as well as working on other writing and composing projects, participating in 40 Days for Life, and dealing with everyday life in general), the first post in the series probably won’t be ready until some time next week at the earliest. Stay tuned.

I look forward to reading more, I was present for a friend’s Annointinting of the Sick yesterday (terminal cancer), and I am VERY invovlved with a few ministries at my parish; the range of emotions this weekend has been great. I get a little irritated and weary reading the…about the (Roman) Catholic Church (RCC). The flaw in their scheme is their failure to understand that the RCC is NOT the pope, vatican or physical structures in which Catholics worship, that we the Catholic faithfull ARE the Church. This is why the Church has endured the evil committed by popes, priests and anyone else associated with the Church. Peace, OUT!
Greetings, Salaf! I have added both you and your friend to my prayer list. May the Lord strengthen you both during this time of suffering and trial. I’m glad to hear that you are so involved in your parish. I’m not as active as I was years ago but I love the Church more and more every day. And it hurts me to hear the insults and abuse heaped upon her by those who treat her as an enemy of mankind. God bless the laity. And God bless our Holy Father, our bishops and our priests, without whom we would no longer have the Apostolic Succession, a valid ministerial priesthood nor valid sacraments. In which case, we would cease to be Church at all. We are all, laity and clergy alike, members of the Body of Christ. No priests, no Eucharist. And then where would we be? The thought makes me shudder.
Peace be with you, Salaf. May God bless you and your friend abundantly.
